8 Helpfull Kitchen Design Tips

One of our favorite magazine Woodshop News had a great article in this month's addition: "Kitchen Concepts for the Builder". These are just a few of the helpful tips that we thought would be useful to anyone designing or building their kitchen.

Miscellaneous Considerations
- Doors and appliance doors should not interfere with one another.
- You should not have a refrigerator or a pantry in the middle of your countertop.
- If there is only one sink in the kitchen, you should locate it directly across from the stove.
- There should be two trash receptacles per work station.
- Use a minimum of 150 cfm exhaust fan for the kitchen.
- Countertop corners should be round or clipped for safety reasons.
- At least one corner cabinet should have a functional storage devise.
- Work stations should have appropriate task lighting.

Vintage Flare: Antique White

These French antique cabinets were installed into a historic house located in the East Los Angeles area. They were pared with Mary gold granite. The added splash of color from the wall color and the floor tile give this kitchen just the right amount of vintage flare.
